ELIEZER BORGES

Brazilian born Eliezer Borges is an award-winning composer, producer, sound engineer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist. Since 2009, he has worked with marketing company Novacaine Music and Sound Design in New York City, creating commercial music for a list of international clients, including Toyota, L'Oréal Paris, Las Vegas, Fancy Feast, Nickelodeon, Pantene, Maybelline and Red Lobster.

Eliezer grew up in a family of musicians. His father, a conductor and multi-instrumentalist, played guitar for him while he was still in his mother’s belly, and as a child, he was surrounded by instruments and a lot of “good vinyl music.” He started recording his music first on audiocassette tapes and later, on a PC using Intel 486 (life is easier now!).

His desire to work in a “real” studio came to fruition when, at the age of 21, he got an internship at a studio called Popcorn in Curitiba, Brazil. The studio owner was a famous guitarist who had worked with Steve Vai in Los Angeles. Working eight hours day without pay, he learned many aspects of sound design, including how to cut tracks for TV commercials and direct voiceovers and singers.

In 2004 he joined one of the most established studios in Brazil, Jamute. From 2004 to 2012, he mixed, edited and composed for numerous national and international clients, including Coca-Cola, Mastercard, HSBC, Volvo, McDonald's and hundreds of local clients.

In the meantime, in 2008 he studied at the best audio school in Brazil, Audio and Video Institute (IAV). There he developed a solid foundation in the concepts of mathematics and physics to support the basis of audio and acoustics; he learned phonoaudiology and psychoacoustics, necessary for the artistic development of an Audio Engineer; and he received practical training in the operation and functioning of basic equipment, such as microphones, loudspeakers, analog mixers, compressors, gates, equalizers,  exciters, etc.

With a wealth of experience in the music industry, Eliezer is known for his efficiency and the kind of high-quality creations expected by high-profile marketing agencies.

HOBBIES

When not in the studio he loves taking pictures, making videos with his mirroless camera and flying around with his drone. In a rainy day why not play some video game? The high quality of graphics, music and sound design is always inspiring.
